At North East London NHS Treatment Centre we offer free NHS treatments to all patients. You are not required to pay if you are an NHS patient and have been referred for treatment by your GP.
We also offer an affordable self pay option for patients who do not have health insurance, or have been told they are ineligible for NHS treatment.
This is a term used by doctors to describe inflammation within a joint. Osteoarthritis is the most common form of joint disease. The surfaces within your joints become damaged so the joint doesn’t move as smoothly as it should. It causes joint pain and stiffness. Treatment ranges from conservative means, injections, fusion, excision or replacement. During hip or knee replacement surgery, the surgeon replaces the damaged joint surfaces with artificial parts. It can reduce pain and improve your mobility.
This is the surgical reconstruction or replacement of an arthritic joint. Hip and knee replacements are the most common major orthopaedic procedures. The goals are to restore function and relieve pain.
In this surgical procedure, the hip joint is replaced by an implant. It can be performed as a total replacement or a half replacement. Hip replacement is one of the most common orthopaedic operations.
Along with all Independent Sector healthcare providers, we will be supporting NHS England by providing essential support to NHS Hospitals during the Coronavirus crisis. As a result, unfortunately, we have to cancel the elective services we offer to our patients. If you have an appointment, somebody will be in touch as soon as possible to discuss. Please bear with us whilst our phone lines are extremely busy and we work through speaking to each individual patient.
For any queries, please view our current status and advice on our COVID-19 (Coronavirus) information page.
